Many fans have been awaiting this album for a long time, and it has finally arrived. Novel 23, or Roman Belousov in real life, is possibly one of the few Russian artists whose work is always much anticipated and well received. After many compilation appearances and three albums on different labels around the globe, Fly Through The Feelings is released on Roman's own Shaped Harmonics. Musically this is... |

Two years after the release of the amazing album by Mendelayev, Art-Tek return with their craziest album to date. Amen Orchestra is a totally fresh artist from the city of Nizhniy Novgorod, who strangely enough doesn't sound fresh at all. From the very first breaks you'll probably think of Squarepusher, Venetian Snares or even Alec Empire's Destroyer (yes, seriously!). But there is more... |

Stud aka Alexey Devyanin is a recognised name on Russian IDM scene, mostly by his releases on several net labels ( Kikapu, Kahvi, etc). He’s also released two electro-acoustic albums on the famous Swiss net label Autoplate (sub label of Thinner) under the name of Gultska Artikler. Although Alexey has been making music since 1998, this is his debut album release on steadily developing Dars Records, who have already released... |

Atomic Reaction is one of the main projects that helped form and establish the electronic scene of Izhevsk. Originally started as a trio, the band quickly became a duo and is still active today taking part in various remix projects and compilations published by Kama Records. Mega Pop is their debut album featuring 12 tracks of analogue synths and drum machines. Although the material... |

Fresh from Kohvi! Ramo Teder aka Pastacas is back with a new album of singing, acoustic guitar and electronica. As with his previous albums, Ramo plays live instruments in most tracks, but here he is also concentrated on singing. Don’t be suspicious of the singing part, as it is rather enjoyable and unusual. Pastacas sings in Estonian, Finnish and his own made-up language (!). Tsaca Tsap is quite folky, yet rather electronic and IDM-ish. The opening Veel Viivuks is a gentle ballad, vocal parts are being constantly added, accompanied by guitar and simple synth... |

Behind Galaktlan is Taavi Laatsit, who’s been active in Estonian electronic scene since 1997 and to date has released several albums under different names. Being a big movie fan, he has also written music for quite a few short films. Influenced by soviet TV series, such as D’Artagnan and the Three Musketeers and named after the novel’s chick Constance Bonacieux, this album contains 10 solid electronic pieces that sound surprisingly fresh and innovative... |

After the first compilation released in 2003, the 56Stuff team has decided to continue with the Different Listening series and here’s the result. As with the first album, the second part is an exciting collection of lounge and downtempo tracks composed by artists from different corners of the ex-Soviet republics. Although the artist selection is nearly identical to the first compilation, the one undeniably noticeable feature is the improvement in production and overall sound quality. Call it experience or coincidence, but the progression is definitely there... |

This album was originally released in 2001 and sold out almost immediately. Luckily, Citadel have decided to re-release it, and a right decision that was - Real Time is an excellent example of ambient music, that will earn the approval of any genre’s fan. The original version of the record has been updated for the 2005 re-issue - the album has been newly mastered and two fresh tracks have been added as a bonus... |

Horosho is the debut album of Moscow’s Dima Vihornov, who used to be part of Pork Roll and other jazz and art-rock bands. His experience in live bands is certainly noticeable, as his music is quite alive and vibrant. Dima has been playing a piano since the age of five, which is another serious influence on this album filled with the certain charm and lightness of playful piano melodies. Although every composition on the record touches upon different musical areas and sounds, they all have one thing in common – a layer of humour. The album is like a collection of strange... |
