New artist on Art-Tek! Everyone was excited about Mendelayev, and finally he's here! Great mixture of various electronic elements, cool rhythms and good melodies, which sound quite Soviet in a way, but in the same time funny and exciting. This CD may remind some works of Aphex or Squarepusher, but its' different. Towards the second half of the album, the dominant style is drum 'n bass, with heavy beats and even MCs, but even there Mendelayev adds his own mark of rhythm surprises. Definitely a great debut record...
